<span><span><span><b>The Role</b></span></span><br><br><span><span>As a DevOps Engineer at Zoic, you'll design and evolve our on-prem cloud platform, building infrastructure that's resilient, scalable, and optimized for high-performance creative workflows. You'll tackle challenges without off-the-shelf solutions and shape the technical foundation that powers world-class visual storytelling.</span></span><br><br><span><span><b>What You'll Do</b></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span><span>Build and manage virtualization and cloud orchestration platforms including OpenNebula and Kubernetes.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Deploy and manage containerized workloads across on-prem Kubernetes clusters.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Design and implement CI/CD pipelines.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Build and maintain deployment workflows for internal tools and creative pipelines.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Optimize Kubernetes for GPU workloads and high-performance rendering.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Set up and configure physical infrastructure: servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Administer Linux and Windows environments across studio infrastructure.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Monitor system health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Support infrastructure, engineering, and creative teams in production.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Document systems, processes, and runbooks.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Provide technical support and troubleshooting.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Implement secure data handling practices, including encryption and access controls.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Support compliance with MPAA, NIST, and ISO standards.</span></span></span></li></ul><span><span><span><b>What You Bring</b></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span><span>3+ years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Strong Linux and Windows administration across multiple distributions.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Hands-on Kubernetes experience: cluster setup, configuration, management, and optimization.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Familiarity with OpenNebula or other on-prem cloud platforms.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Experience with physical infrastructure setup (servers, storage, networking).</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Experience with software-defined networking and Kubernetes networking stacks.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash).</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Understanding of CI/CD principles and pipeline design.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Comfortable in fast-paced, creative environments.</span></span></span></li></ul><span><span><span><b>Bonus Skills</b></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span><span>GPU orchestration and AI/ML pipelines.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Creative tools (Deadline, Nuke, Houdini, Maya).</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Containerized GUI applications or remote apps.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>VFX, gaming, architecture, or scientific computing background.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Open-source or technical community contributions.</span></span></span></li></ul><span><span><span><b>What You'll Learn</b></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span><span>Architecting and scaling cloud-native infrastructure without public cloud providers.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Advanced Kubernetes cluster management and GPU workload optimization.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>AI/ML pipeline integration into creative production.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Secure data handling and compliance best practices in media production.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Cross-functional collaboration with creative, engineering, and security teams.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>High-performance rendering workflows and VFX toolchains.</span></span></span></li></ul><div><p><span><b>Additional Information </b></span></p><ul><li><span>Pay Range: 130k-145k DOE.</span></li><li><span>The listed pay range represents the minimum to maximum range for this job description.
