Now part of the Canva family, weâre scaling our engineering teams to design the systems and infrastructure that keep creativity limitless for hundreds of millions of users worldwide.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Weâre looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Tribe, the foundation that powers everything from Leonardoâs AI generation features to enterprise APIs and mobile experiences.</p><p>Leonardoâs engineering structure is built around tribes and squads, each focused on a product goal. The Platform Tribe supports every other tribe, ensuring our infrastructure scales smoothly as new creative tools are launched.</p><p>Our DevOps engineers embed directly within product squads to deliver new features quickly and safely, while leading core platform work that keeps our systems reliable, secure, and efficient. This includes evolving infrastructure standards, improving tooling, and strengthening the everyday DevOps practices that help teams ship software with confidence.</p><p>Youâll work on scaling infrastructure, automating systems, and continuously improving how we build and release. Over time, youâll rotate through different squads, gaining exposure to diverse technologies and challenges while shaping the next generation of infrastructure behind products used by millions.</p><p>Youâll join a small, empowered team that values curiosity, collaboration, and care. We move fast but thoughtfully, working transparently and supporting one another to deliver outstanding results while maintaining a healthy pace.</p><p><strong>What Youâll Do</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Build and Scale Infrastructure:</strong> Work across AWS, GCP, GCore, and Cloudflare to help scale the hybrid systems that power our AI workloads.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Support GPU Optimisation:</strong> Contribute to scaling and tuning GPU infrastructure for AI model training and inference to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Improve CI/CD Pipelines:</strong> Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance our pipelines, simplify deployments, and boost developer velocity.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Strengthen Observability:</strong> Help improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response to give teams clearer visibility and faster recovery.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Contribute to Integration Projects:</strong> Work with Canva engineers and the Platform team to align infrastructure systems and adopt shared tooling.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Uphold DevOps Best Practices:</strong> Maintain documentation, reusable standards, and workflows that keep systems stable and scalable.<br></p></li><li><p><strong>Keep Learning and Sharing:</strong> Participate in DevOps Guilds, deep dives, and innovation sessions that explore new tools and AI-driven automation.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Skills We Love</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience working with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, and IAM, with some exposure to multi-cloud environments like GCP, GCore, or Cloudflare.<br></p></li><li><p>Practical experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools to manage and automate infrastructure.<br></p></li><li><p>Familiarity with building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally within a collaborative engineering environment.<br></p></li><li><p>Good understanding of Linux, containerisation, and cloud networking fundamentals.<br></p></li><li><p>Clear and thoughtful communicator who documents work and shares knowledge openly.<br></p></li><li><p>Collaborative teammate who enjoys problem-solving and helping others succeed.<br></p></li><li><p>Curious, adaptable, and eager to explore new tools, technologies, and approaches.<br></p></li><li><p>Bonus: Interest or experience with GPU infrastructure or AI-driven automation.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Our Culture:</strong></h3><ul><li><p><strong>Inclusive Culture</strong>: We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
